The Jones/The Score F.A.Q.

Q: I’m late to the party. What the hell is going on here?
A: The Basketball Jones has officially joined The Score, a Canadian sports media company, to create original NBA content like nobody’s goddamn business.

**********

Q: Seriously?
A: Yes.

**********

Q: So you’re going to be on television? No more video podcasts?
A: Are you insane? Have you seen Skeets? He looks like Andy Rautins on drugs. Of course we’re going to continue to record a daily online show! That’s the beauty of this marriage; The Score wants The Jones. They like us, man. They really, really like us.

Now, will some of our content eventually find it’s way to television? We’d like to think so. But for now, you’ll get your daily dose of The Jones online, and via iTunes, with some mobile NBA headlines and possibly a weekly longer format audio-only show to boot. Would that be something you’re interested in? (Nod your head.)

**********

Q: What about your iTunes link? Same address?
A: Good question, Trebek. While we’re hopeful you won’t have to re-subscribe to the show via iTunes, we’re all well aware of how technology can be a bitch. Simply put, if you have to re-subscribe, we’ll let you know.

**********

Q: Are you still gonna shoot the daily show in Skeets’ apartment?
A: No. Rest in peace, sweet pool table. You’ll be missed.

**********

Q: So where are you going to shoot then?
A: You’ll see.

**********

Q: What does this mean for Ball Don’t Lie? Will Skeets still be able to do that?
A: Nope. Trey Kerby and Kelly Dwyer are your new Ball Don’t Lie tag team. Embrace it.

**********

Q: Hold on, I’m still confused. Is TBJ going to be aired on The Score, or will the videos be online? Can I watch them from anywhere in the world?
A: Yes, they’ll be online and available anywhere in the world. If you have the Internet, you have The Jones.

**********

Q: Will you have a new website? Will we be able to comment on videos and posts?
A: Yes and yes. We’ll have something up under The Score online umbrella by Monday. And before you ask, no, you won’t have to remember or bookmark a new link — thebasketballjones.net will be redirected to our new online home automatically.

**********

Q: I need to tell you how much I love your show. How do I keep in touch?
A: New email: tbj@thescore.com.

**********

Q: I’m young, hip and into social media so I need to know: Will your Twitter or Facebook accounts change?
A: Nope. Please continue to follow us at @jeskeets, @tasmelas, @tbjintern, @gaylordmenendez (JD). Also, please join our Facebook fan page.

**********

Q: Is this move going to interfere with the badass soundtracks you guys provide due to copyright issues?
A: Yes, but we’re working on it.

**********

Q: “Napoleon Says” is gone, isn’t it?
A: We can’t lie to you, yes. It was a hell of a run, though. Single tear.

**********

Q: Enough bullshit: When are you coming back? I want to hear you talk about how shitty the Celtics are.
A: Monday, March 8th. (Sorry, Nick L.)
